Great Dreams Card

I made this card for Splitcoast sketch challenge 209 and I am also going to send it away for a good cause. Jen del Muro has a challenge on her blog, i {heart} to stamp. Apparently a friend of hers works at a university with students from 50 different countries, DBU. They give the cards to the students but I'm not sure if the cards are for the students or for them to send home; either way it seems like a good cause. Be sure to read the rules carefully if you decide to join. Oh, and did I mention the awesome blog candy you can enter to win? I seem to be on a roll lately, I've won two blog candies in the last week. {{{ AMAZING}}} This is a good thing of course but it does mean there is no way I will win the big Kahuna prize of the Spellbinders dies! Not to sound ungrateful of course!
great dreams

I love this image from Dreams du Jour. Not only is it a great saying, but it is so pretty! And of all images that look great coloured, it takes hardly any time! The layout doesn't really take great dreams2 much explanation, the flower was stamped in riding hood red ink on pink pirouette CS, the ink was spread around with a watercolour brush and it was attached with a foam dot. The ribbon is sewn with 4 stands of ordinary sewing thread and the thread tails are caught under the foam dots I used to pop up the layers. I would have popped up the image as well but I had to remember that this needs to be mailed and to the US at that! It already costs nearly a dollar to mail it, never mind extra charges for over weight or over thickness!

RECIPE
Stamps:
Dreams du Jour
Ink: riding hood red, Stazon brown
Paper: riding hood red, chocolate chip, Bella Rosa DSP
Accessories: foam dots, scallop punch, markers, sewing thread- Mettler. All products SU! unless otherwise noted.
