Amethyst Lilacs

Not every card can be your favourite right? I really wanted to use my brand new Lily Kate paper but I didn't seem to have cardstock that matched. The coordinating 'plain' papers didn't quite suit the layout I had in mind and I didn't have time to think of other layouts. SU! Amethyst was the closest I had. {{SIGH}} My hubby was watching the baby for 20 minutes only before he had to go to bed so I had to be really quick. I usually take at least 20 minutes just to figure out what I want to do!
amethyst lilacs I obviously could have used a longer piece of ribbon to tie. Becca Feeken would be horrified! If you haven't seen her work, go to Amazing Paper Grace to see her beautifully generous use of ribbon! It was longer but this ribbon frays like crazy. I had to keep cutting it shorter and shorter. It takes a lot of effort to tie a ribbon that thick and fuzzy (I have arthritis) so I didn't want to redo it. I love how it looks crinkled though, not because I am lazy and didn't iron it; it is permanently that way. I thought the beaded stick pin made up for it. The rest is easy to figure out! At least it was quick!

Enjoy, Rebecca
