I love making baby cards. They are easily my favourite cards to make! I am such a baby lover! This is definitely one of my favourite baby stamps. A set of these with ‘thank you’ stamped inside would make an awesome gift for a new mom.
I just got new vellum adhesive last week so I decided to try it out. It is easily the best, most invisible adhesive I’ve ever used. It isn’t hidden under the ribbon or the panel, can you see it?? IRL you can see it in good light with good eyes but it still is barely there. Visit Joan’s Gardens to purchase it. It comes in sheets a lot like Glue Dots brand vellum adhesive (which is pretty invisible but not very sticky) and you peel off the backing, press your vellum to the adhesive and peel off. If you are adhering a smaller area of vellum than the size of the sheet of adhesive, I recommend you ‘cut’ the remainder of the adhesive along the edges of your vellum with your bone folder or the excess adhesive will pull away from the backing, lifting up with the vellum. Apparently, this works for clear acrylic items too.
I have a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. As most of you know, I don’t celebrate any secular or religious holidays. I hope you don’t take offence that I don’t offer such seasonal type greetings to you all. However, I do celebrate ONE thing every year. My WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! I’d love it if you would leave a comment for us today on our 12th ANNIVERSARY. THANKS!
What a fabulous sketch Jack! I really enjoyed working with this one! I think I even managed to fulfil almost all of the details of the sketch! WOO HOO!! I’d love to see your work! Need inspiration? Be sure to check out the AWESOME cards the DareDevils have made. Be sure to leave a link to your direct post or gallery with Mr. Linky on the Whimsical Wednesdays blog. What's even more exciting is Club Anya is sponsoring our challenge this week. Jack's Mom, Jessica, will pick a winner. The winner will choose an Anya or Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm's in stock inventory. Thank you Marie for such an awesome prize!!
Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Lisa H. because she has some other commitments. BOO HOO. She was with our the DareDevils for way too short a time. We wish her well and hope she can come back one day. Cassie unfortunately cannot play this week, BUMMER. What a shame, I’ll miss your card! Debbie might be a bit late posting so check her out a bit later today.
Enjoy, Rebecca
