A couple in my church has been married for 66 years! Can you believe that? I can’t even imagine! WOW! I bought them 3 candles from Bath and Body works (on sale for $5! YEAH!) to give to them at their anniversary party and wanted to create some nifty packaging.
I stacked the candles with foam in between them cut with a scalloped circle die. Just so it didn’t look tacky but at the same time, the lids wouldn’t get scratched from the candle above it. Then I wrapped the cardstock around the candle stack just to judge how much overlap would be needed. I scored about 3/4” from the bottom of the paper and clipped it like in the photo below.
This allows you to fold the tabs in and glue them to the scalloped circle bottom. Then I created a lid using the same technique.
I used the latest WMS sketch for the card. Click to visit the challenge.
The ribbon I used is self-ruffling meant for wedding favours. I used it for the card and for under the flowers. They are just hydrangeas I pulled off a stem from Michaels and glued to the card. I added pearl centers to make it prettier.
Enjoy, Rebecca
