Doodle Pantry Baby Cow Card - CPS 126

This baby cow is on beyond adorable! I live in a small town in the middle of farm country and I love seeing the baby animals with their mamas in the fields. I’m always pointing them out to the kids to the point where my 4 y.o. points out any old critter and says, “Oh, look at the baby {insert animal here}!” Too funny!

baby cow cps sketch

So cute right? The original didn’t have any lines for the cow’s spots so I added lines with a Copic Multiliner. The lines were much too thick for the drawing but you can’t tell anymore because I used black for the spots. If I was going to colour the spots brown, I’d have had to search for a thinner permanent marker.

The background was airbrushed with Copic markers. sorry it isn’t as vibrant as IRL, I took the photo when the sun was setting. I used YG63 for the ground, E33 for the hay and B32 for the sky. I had to be very careful where the sky and hay come close together as those colours aren’t too compatible but I was very happy with the result.

Aw I like that image and how you have coloured it."the background was airbrushed with copics" sounds down right hard to me, but you did a marvellous job on it. Love the trim, love the card.
